About us

The Pines Residential Care Home provides personal care for adults 18 years and above with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, Challenging behaviours, sensory impairment, and dementia. This includes people with such conditions as Motor Neuron Disease and moyamoya disease. The Pines is also able to meet the needs of people with acquired brain injury and some people who may have mental health needs, such as mild and/or borderline personality disorder. Staff have undertaken specific training on this area of specialism. Refresher training will be provided regularly on these specialist areas of care to ensure staff have the necessary skills to support such residents. Consideration will always be given to the compatibility of new residents with the existing resident group. In addition, we have support from a consultant psychiatrist, who also supports staff to meet these specialist needs. The staffing levels are decided according to the resident’s needs. Emergency admissions will be considered. We cater for people over the age of 18 years. We do not provide nursing care and support, but this is available from community nurses.
